The state of Wisconsin Board on Aging and Long Term Care has a Volunteer Ombudsman Program.
Our program is looking for compassionate volunteers to spend 1-3 hours a week at a local nursing home
visiting with the residents. Ombudsmen act as advocates for the residents and are the "eyes and ears" of the Regional Ombudsman. You will at times be the voice of a resident with concerns or help the resident resolve concerns on their own. Volunteers are provided an orientation and ongoing training. This volunteer position is very flexible and can fit around any schedule. If you would like to work with and help this vulnerable population, please call us today! 1-800-815-0015.
