Mission Statement
Gateway Alliance Project, "the GAP" is a group of system impacted leaders pursuing bold reform of criminal justice policies and practices, to support a successful re-entry journey for formerly incarcerated individuals, and to provide alternatives to diversion for at-risk young adults.
Description
We imagine a community where all its citizens have access to opportunities which allows them to live economically independent lives, ending post-conviction poverty, and closing the school-to-prison pipeline.
Our program outcomes are to increase rehabilitation, improve recidivism, and support healthy & safe communities. We do so by providing evidence based life skills training, and wrap-around services including mentorship & peer support, to formerly incarcerated women and at-risk girls.
