Gateway Alliance Project is a startup non-profit 501(c)(3) organization geared at improving the roads of re-entry to formerly incarcerated women, and by providing diversion alternatives for at-risk youth prior to engagement with the carceral system. We offer a variety of life skills trainings, and are happy to announce the opening of our transitional home for women April 2024. We are in serach of a Community Outreach Coordinator to connect our organization with the surrounding community. Duties include brainstorming potential partnerships or methods for engagement with the local community, maintaining a calendar for outreach events and working closely with community partners to plan and execute various outreach events.

About GATEWAY ALLIANCE PROJECT

Location:

5801 MARVIN D LOVE FWY, Suite 236, DALLAS, TX 75237, US

Mission Statement

Gateway Alliance Project, "the GAP" is a group of system impacted leaders pursuing bold reform of criminal justice policies and practices, to support a successful re-entry journey for formerly incarcerated individuals, and to provide alternatives to diversion for at-risk young adults.

Description

We imagine a community where all its citizens have access to opportunities which allows them to live economically independent lives, ending post-conviction poverty, and closing the school-to-prison pipeline.

Our program outcomes are to increase rehabilitation, improve recidivism, and support healthy & safe communities. We do so by providing evidence based life skills training, and wrap-around services including mentorship & peer support, to formerly incarcerated women and at-risk girls.
