This role will be responsible for coordinating which dates we can host Puppy Yoga events and be on-site to ensure the event runs smoothly. They will work with our Event Leads to ensure that the correct number of foster puppies and volunteers are recruited for each event. They will bring all necessary supplies required to host an event, including cleaning supplies and volunteer/foster recruitment materials. We typically host one Puppy Yoga event per quarter, but would consider increasing this if there was more interest. Time commitment is roughly 2 hours per event, 1 hour of prep and clean-up with 1 hour of active time during the event.

Assist with transportation needs around the Twin Cities metro. We have situations where a foster is unable to get their foster dog/cat to an appointment and need a team of volunteers willing to transport the foster to/from the appointment. Our goal is to build a list of volunteers willing to help in these situations, we send out the request and drivers available or closest to the foster respond back that they can help. The driver and foster are connected via email/text to work specific details of pick-up/drop-off. Most appointments will be to Vet locations in the Twin Cities metro, Forest Lake, Wyoming or Buffalo. Time commitment for this role varies depending on the need, but on average each transport could be 2-3 hours. Flexibility is essential and your own transportation is required. Gas expenses are not covered by the rescue.

This role will work closely with the Development Manager and Executive Director to determine which rescue stories we want to share with our sponsors and supporters. They will take the information gathered by the Content Collection Volunteer and write stories and updates on foster animals to share in marketing campaigns, the newsletter and on social media. This is a remote role and can be done from your home, but does require you to have excellent writing skills, good oral and written communication skills and ability to meet deadlines. We do not allow the use of AI technology to be used in this role. Volunteer commitment will vary depending on the number of stories we are following and if we have multiple volunteers helping in this role.

Mission Statement
To save and improve the lives of companion animals by engaging communities and connecting people, resources and knowledge.
Description
Safe Hands Rescue was founded in 2006 and has continued to grow and save more dogs and cats every year. We focus on saving animals from SE Kentucky, an impoverished area with great need. With underfunded shelters and lack of access to affordable spay and neuter programs. We partner with several shelters in the Chicago area and Twin Cities to save as many animals as possible. We often take animals that other groups pass up due to health issues. Our commitment is to help every adoptable animal in the shelter make it out alive.
