Creative and consistent volunteers are needed to support our weekly food delivery program in the Denver metro area. Rocky Mountain Mutual Aid specifically delivers free and fresh boxes of groceries to people who cannot access food pantries or reliable transportation - most of our recipients identify as disabled and/or seniors. We have been doing this work on a weekly basis, thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers and community partners, since April 2020. Responsibilities include: - Creating content for weekly posts on Instagram - Storytelling through social media to generate support - Expanding our volunteer and donor outreach

Rocky Mountain Mutual Aid Network is looking for a few volunteers interested in helping plan weekly delivery routes and/or act as an on-call volunteer coordinator on delivery days. This role is so crucial to making our deliveries possible! Route planning: - Utilize software to create convenient routes for volunteer delivery drivers - Send emails to recipients to confirm their deliveries (templates provided) - Send emails to volunteers and food bank partner - Occasionally send emails to individuals outside of our delivery zone to inform them of other resources they can access Volunteer coordinating: - On-call Friday afternoons between 11-3 to ensure smooth deliveries - Help find solutions for volunteers when recipients can't be reached or if they have trouble finding an address It is preferred that these two tasks are performed by the same person, but it is not required! If you are interested in either of these tasks, please reach out!

Mission Statement
Rocky Mountain Mutual Aid Network is a volunteer-run organization, working in solidarity to increase food access across the Denver metro area for people who self-identify as disabled, immune compromised/high risk, and/or seniors.
Description
Rocky Mountain Mutual Aid began operating in 2020, in response to a need in our community during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks largely to our food rescue partner, Joy's Kitchen and our ever-growing crew of dedicated volunteers, we delivered free groceries to over 800 households in 2022. Every Friday our volunteers deliver groceries to approximately 15 households across the Denver Metro area to families cannot otherwise access food.
