Deliver groceries to neighbors in need
ORGANIZATION: Rocky Mountain Mutual Aid
Please visit the new page to apply.
Rocky Mountain Mutual Aid Network is a fully volunteer-operated food delivery program, in partnership with Joy's Kitchen.
Every FRIDAY we deliver free grocery boxes to households in the Denver metro area! Shifts require a car, cell phone and driver's license.
We do not require a volunteer application process, you can sign up for your first delivery shift with us here: https://www.signupgenius.com/tabs/63274dc05a4c2ecc53-rmmansignups#/
Shift details:
- The evening before your delivery shift, you will receive an email with all route information.
- On Friday, pick up grocery boxes between 11:30am-12:30pm on Fridays at Joy's Kitchen (South Lakewood near Wadsworth & Jewell) and deliver directly to 3-5 homes.
- Most routes are around 1 hour or less and we are usually flexible if volunteers are time-restricted and need shorter routes on a given week.
Why we do this work:
Grocery recipients identify as either disabled, immune compromised, over 65 and/or do not have reliable access to reliable transportation. The options for families who can not get to food banks to pick up food are extremely limited in our region. Many organizations that provide a similar delivery program to ours only operate once a month or are currently on long waitlists. There is a great need for weekly grocery deliveries for families in this area.

Mission Statement
Rocky Mountain Mutual Aid Network is a volunteer-run organization, working in solidarity to increase food access across the Denver metro area for people who self-identify as disabled, immune compromised/high risk, and/or seniors.
Description
Rocky Mountain Mutual Aid began operating in 2020, in response to a need in our community during the Covid-19 pandemic. Thanks largely to our food rescue partner, Joy's Kitchen and our ever-growing crew of dedicated volunteers, we delivered free groceries to over 800 households in 2022.
Every Friday our volunteers deliver groceries to approximately 15 households across the Denver Metro area to families cannot otherwise access food.
