If you enjoy planning, coordinating and executing events then this may be the position for you. The Fundraising Manager is responsible for all aspects of the YHD fundraising program, including building good relationships with prospective donors and clients across multiple sectors, communicating with the broader public and internal teams, delegating tasks, and drawing up plans to ensure annual targets are met. You should be well organized, proactive, and have the ability to inspire those around you. You must possess excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experience. The goal is to ensure that our organization is always staffed with the best and most reliable individuals, and that they are correctly utilized for the fulfilment of our mission. Responsibilities: Conducting research on fundraising opportunities. Writing, submitting, and uploading press releases as required. Writing funding proposals and submitting these to potential donors. Preparing quarterly budgets. Coming up with ingenious ways to raise awareness. Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns. Organizing and attending non-profit events and networking with relevant stakeholders. Establishing good relationships with staff, members of the public, and the media. Requirements: Bachelor's degree (preferred) in PR, Fundraising, or any related field. Background in or desire to learn fundraising strategies. Previous experience in sales or marketing also acceptable. Sound knowledge of the charity sector. Experience managing a team. Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.

The Volunteers for Grant Research and Fundraising will be responsible for completing research on grant and funding opportunities, creating and managing a detailed pipeline of opportunities, fostering relationship building with donors, grant-making organizations, and partners, drafting and submitting grant applications, and providing ideas for new and creative fundraising opportunities and events. You must possess excellent organizational skills, excellent writing skills, and ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experience. Prior experience in grant writing and fundraising is a plus. Responsibilities Research and identify new grant opportunities Create a spreadsheet identifying new grant opportunities throughout the year and update the spreadsheet regularly Draft grant applications for opportunities identified in the spreadsheet Submit grant applications by the deadlines Build relationships with potential donors and grantors Identify additional partners and funders (businesses, corporations, high-net worth individual donors) and build relationships to foster the mission of Your Hearing Dog, Inc. Responsibilities Developing fundraising strategies Planning and implementing fundraising strategies for major gifts, principal gifts, planned gifts, and more. Building relationships Cultivating and stewarding relationships with donors and prospects, and working with internal leadership and influencers. Managing donor portfolios Managing a portfolio of donors and prospects, and tracking and assessing fundraising metrics. Supporting donor events Supporting events that connect donors with the organization's work, both in person and digitally. Developing marketing materials Working with the communications team to develop marketing materials for development. Maintaining donor records Maintaining donor records and managing the logistics and data for donor appeals and communications. Qualifying prospects Qualifying prospective donors from events, membership programs, and other leads. Leading donor research Leading donor research to identify prospects and opportunities to upgrade donors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned): - Utilize telephone solicitation, electronic and written correspondence and face-to-face meetings as tools in order to reach and exceed the budgeted sponsorship target; - Research and develop a list of potential sponsors for our nonprofit; - Research and develop a list of potential exhibitors for events when required; - Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential sponsorship clients and exhibitors; - Keep precise records of conversations with all clients, sponsors and exhibitors; - Update the organization's database as required; - Assist in preparing promotional material to advertise sales/sponsorship opportunities; - Maintain knowledge of conference timelines and sponsorship deadlines; - Meet with trade and professional organizations and other groups to organize, promote and discuss YHD services, events and programs; and - Professionally represent YHD at all times. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
