Areas of opportunity include the Inpatient Acute Care floor, Medical Surgical Inpatient Care and Intensive Care Unit. Must be comfortable on patient care floor; must be considerate in relating to the needs of patients and visitors; must have successfully completed the hospital orientation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. DUTIES: Supports unit desk with clerical tasks, answering phone calls, scanning and errands Service Excellence Rounding on non-covid patients Fill ice water Offer WOW items (chapstick, tissues, magazines, etc.) Tidy Up Room if Patient needs things organized Water Flowers if needed Make sure phone/call light is within reach Answer call lights and report any clinical needs to staff Restocking supplies for rooms, carts and nursing station as needed Providing non-clinical information to guests and patients; campus eateries, restrooms, hours of visiting, etc. Refers clinical and other important information to unit staff or up the chain of command Assist with Quiet Time Rounding; Monday - Sunday at 1:00pm Volunteer will explain that Quiet Time takes place daily from 2:00-4:00p and will include the lowering of the house lights as well as minimal noise on the floors for optimal resting Make patient packets Assist with patient discharge Delivery of products/supplies to unit and areas as needed Other duties as assigned

Members of the guest services team assist patients and families when they first arrive to the hospital lobby! They are the first face that is seen and often the last when individuals are leaving for the day. Members of this very important team help patients, visitors and other members of the community to: Find their destinations within the Hospital Walking them to their appointments Taking them to patient care areas Wayfinding for hospital amenities such as the gift shop, bistro and cafeteria Assisting the Patient Registration Team with various clerical duties Assisting Patient Experience with delivering flowers from the gift shop This team is very important and we hope you will consider joining us!

Volunteer must be comfortable on patient care floor; must be considerate in relating to the needs of patients and visitors; must have successfully completed the hospital orientation. This opportunity involves wheelchair transport and volunteer must be very mobile and able to wheel patients. Must be comfortable on patient care floor; must be considerate in relating to the needs of patients and visitors; must have successfully completed the hospital orientation. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. DUTIES: Check in on patients/visitors waiting for procedures; service excellence rounding. Offer a warm blanket or get visitors a refreshment; always check with RN before getting patient a drink. Assist Mission Control with transporting patients to their vehicles. Assist staff to prepare rooms for patients by stocking supplies, etc. Help make patient room packs; to consist of patient belonging bag, a pair of non-slip socks, and a blood pressure cuff. Escort visitors to waiting rooms and other locations in the hospital. Support unit desk with answering call lights, answering phones and running department errands. Other duties as needed.
