We are looking for compassionate volunteers with certified pet therapy animals to serve patients and their families as they experience hospice care. Our pet therapy volunteers have a unique ability to bring smiles, comfort, and positive experiences to patients and their families. Three Oaks Hospice is a leading care provider in the Southeast Texas area. We service patients in their place of residence within a radius of approximately 50 miles of Beaumont, TX. We strive to offer the best care possible and this includes utilization of volunteers like you! Three Oaks Hospice provides volunteer training to prepare you for working with patients and families. If you are wanting to volunteer with hospice but not comfortable with direct patient care, we would love to have you volunteer in the office. By helping in the office, you will be providing administrative/clerical support through filing, answering phones, mailings, and more. Three Oaks Hospice provides a complete volunteer training program. Hospice volunteering is a rewarding opportunity whether working directly with patients or helping staff in the office. Are you a cosmetolgy student or licensed cosmetologist looking to donate your time and services? We are looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate this service to home-bound hospice patients! This would be a strictly volunteer based service and would be provided in the patient's place of residence. Many of our patients are no longer physically able to leave their home to receive cosmetology services, which provides a unique opportunity for cosmetologists and cosmetology trainees in our area to serve and gain experience! Three Oaks Hospice is looking for Companion Volunteers who will visit patients in local nursing facilities and/or in private homes. The Companion Volunteer will provide companionship for our patients which could include activities such as reading, playing cards/games, watching TV, or just simply sitting with the patient.
