Our Mission At ECSC, we are dedicated to bringing older adults into the Early Childhood field, where their experience, wisdom, and compassion can make a lasting difference. We believe that a dedicated corps of trained older adults can help solve the workforce challenges in early childhood education while simultaneously enriching the lives of the volunteers themselves. By joining our service corps, you'll be supporting young children and families, while also enhancing your own mental, physical, and financial well-being. We envision creating a sustainable, community-driven model that recruits, trains, and empowers older adults to provide flexible support in Early Childhood Education. Through this program, we aim to build a vibrant, intergenerational workforce that benefits both the children we serve and the dedicated volunteers who give their time and talents.

Description

The Early Childhood Service Corps is an exciting, intergenerational program designed to address the growing need for support in the Early Childhood field while offering a fulfilling and rewarding experience for older adults. Our program brings together individuals from all walks of life to train, learn, and serve in Early Childhood Education throughout Colorado.

We make it easy to get started with online training and guidance in finding the best fit and opportunity in early childhood education. But it’s not just about training - it's about building a supportive community. Our cohort learning model connects you with other passionate volunteers through classes, group activities, and shared experiences. Along the way, you’ll form meaningful friendships and gain a strong sense of camaraderie.

Whether you’re working directly with children or supporting behind the scenes, we’re here to shepherd you every step of the way as you make a lasting impact in the lives of young learners.
