These are some of duties that our current cat coordinator would like assistance with. You will not be asked to do everything on this list, it is merely a list of all activities that make up the cat coordinator position. You will be working directly with at least two volunteers on the position. Intake/ Rehoming Cats Contact individuals who need help rehoming cats in need. Work with the cat intake committee to discuss cats coming into the program. Process paperwork with NMAF office, authorize necessary vet care, coordinate with surrendering party and foster home Interview possible intakes, occasionally meet new cats or transport cats to and from vet. Foster Care Program Recruit individuals to foster cats in their homes. Interview, review and approve foster parent application. Visit potential foster home, process foster application. Set-up new foster home and supplies Provide support, problem solving, mentoring foster parents when necessary Coordinating/authorizing vet care Coordinate returns, moves, boarding of NMAF cats Monitor and update cat medical records. Write and or edit cat profiles for websites and adoption clinic Help with record-keeping in office and on Google Drive Adoptions Compile adoption folders and related paperwork (vet records, etc.) Screen and interview potential adopters, check references Visit potential adoptor’s home in person or virtually Assist with post-adoption follow-up and problem-solving, if necessary Help staff the weekly adoption clinic

We are looking for individuals with carpentry and building skills to build or repair dog houses. New Mexico Animal Friends is helping to provide dog houses to pet parents who are unable to provide a dog house for their dog. if you are unable to help with the physical work, perhaps you could make a donation.

We are a local no -kill non profit animal rescue group. We take in homeless cats and kittens and find homes for them. We are looking for individuals who are willing to foster cats and kittens in their home. We have a cat adoption clinic every Saturday at PetCo on San Mateo and Academy. Individuals interested in adopting our cats can come and meet them and spend time with them. The fosters bring the cats to the adoption clinic, but are not required to stay. Our organization provides all medical care for the cats, and the fosters provide all the love. WE can also help with food and other supplies, if necessary.

The fosters bring the dogs to the adoption clinic but are not required to stay. Our organization provides all medical care for the dogs, and the fosters provide all the love. We can also help with food and other supplies.
