Day & Time: Every Sunday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Planning and preparation take place during the week(s) prior to outreach operations, both remotely and in-person as necessary. Outreach Location: 980 N. Clinton Ave, Rochester, NY 14621 Supplies: Provided. The facilitator is responsible for refilling or delegating the refilling of on-site inventory at the outreach location from backup inventory located at storage, as needed. Supply Location: Howard Rd, Gates, NY Requirements: Volunteers must be 21 or older, have reliable transportation, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to communicate compassionately and emphatically with our client base is mandatory. Will also need the ability to coordinate with, delegate to, train as necessary, and lead the volunteer outreach team prior to, throughout, and after outreach operations. Previous experience with at-risk populations and/or group management would be beneficial but is not mandatory. Training Period: Approximately 16 hours over a 4-week period. Physical intensity: Moderate. Standing, walking, some lifting (up to 25 pounds.) Description: None of our operations would be possible without oversight and preparation. Outreach Facilitation volunteers will coordinate with other volunteers to prepare for and execute outreach operations every Sunday. Set up begins at 9:30 a.m. Outreach is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The facilitator's responsibilities include: Overseeing on-site inventory at the outreach location Ensure all supplies needed are stocked for Sunday, and that outreach will be appropriately staffed. Must be present during outreach to oversee volunteers, communicating and delegating as necessary Must be trained on all outreach distribution stations, as well as providing resource navigation support and assistance Must be informed on all Hope Dealers BTC operations and policies and be able to explain them to the community and (new) volunteers as necessary Train new volunteers, if necessary Collect and report data as requested Commitment Length: To qualify for training, volunteers must commit to facilitating at least 6 outreach instances over a one-year period, each lasting approximately four hours per week.

In some instances, pickup arrangements can be made for Saturday evenings or Sunday mornings, but our preference is that the sandwiches/lunches be delivered to 980 N. Clinton Avenue at 9:30 am on your given Sunday. Delivery Location: 980 N. Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621 Supplies: Supplies may be donated by the volunteer/group or may be provided by the organization via arranged dropoff or pick up. Needed supplies include; 100 sandwich bags. 10-12 loaves of bread (depending on # of slices per loaf,) 2-64 oz large jars of peanut butter, 4-32oz jars of jelly. Optional supplies that can be donated or supplied include; 100 brown paper lunch bags, 100 juice pouches, and 200 portions of individually wrapped snacks, eg. chips, crackers, fruit snacks, cookies, etc. Requirements: Prepare 100 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Optional: Bag 100 lunches. Each lunch includes 1 sandwich, 1 juice pouch, and 2 individually wrapped portions of snack. Physical intensity: Low. Description: Something the whole family can help with is making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the lunches given out during our Sunday outreach operations. Volunteers/groups have the option of providing us with just sandwiches or bagging entire lunches. When only sandwiches are provided, the lunches are bagged by our volunteers at the start of outreach operations on Sunday mornings. Supplies can be provided to you via drop-off by one of our other volunteers or by making arrangements to pick up supplies at our storage unit. Pre-arranged pickups of sandwiches/lunches may be able to be arranged for Saturday evenings or Sunday mornings in instances where the volunteer is unable to deliver to the outreach location. Commitment Length: No commitment is necessary. You may sign up for as many or as few weeks as you like.

Clinton Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621 Supplies: Supplies are provided by the organization from our on-site inventory, but donations are also accepted at this time. Requirements: Volunteers ages 16 and up may participate at will with zero experience or expertise necessary. Volunteers under 18 will need adult accompaniment to participate, as well as permission from their parent or guardian. Training is minimal and will occur onsite during your first shift at outreach. Physical intensity: Low-Moderate. Standing, walking, some lifting (less than 25 pounds.) Description: Dealing hope on Sundays is our longest-running operation. Volunteers work in stations to welcome individuals, gather information about what items or services they are in need of, put together packages of items from our onsite inventory, make drinks, bag lunches and/or hygiene kits, provide resource information or navigation assistance, and much more! Training for new volunteers is minimal and will be provided on-site during operations. Commitment Length: No commitment is necessary. Come for one week or every week!

Day & Time: All days and shifts available. Flexible scheduling. Location: Virtual / Remote / Work-from-home Equipment Required: Computer with high-speed internet access. (May be provided by the organization as necessary.) Other Requirements: Experience in the non-profit grant writing field. General computer skills are necessary. Google Workspace and team collaboration in a remote environment experience is a plus. Excellent research and communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Training Period: Continuous, as necessary. Physical intensity: N/A - Requires no physical activity Description: The volunteer(s) in this position will be responsible for finding funding opportunities that fit our organization’s mission, writing polished proposals, and following through with the requirements necessary to obtain funding. This position will have the full support of all Board Members and executives within the organization for collaboration in fulfilling these responsibilities. We are looking for a person or person(s) capable of applying for both large and small grants. Commitment Length: Volunteers must commit to at least a one-year period to qualify. Hours will vary based on grant deadlines. Approximately 150 hours per year, with busier times in the spring and fall.
