We have a resource room on campus where participants in our program can access supplemental items such as food, household products and personal care products to help offset their budgets. Currently we have an opening for a volunteer to oversee this space for one to one and a half hours on a weekly basis. This can be done on either Tuesdays from 11am to 2pm, Wednesdays from 10am to 2pm or Thursdays from 10am to 2pm. Duties include replenishing the shelves, keeping track of backstock, tallying what needs to be ordered for the following week and keeping the space organized. The volunteer who coordinates this project provides a valuable support to the participants who utilize this resource. Note it is possible for a 'team' to take on this project with a group of people working together in alternating shifts to provide full coverage of hours that are needed.

Apartment Set Up for New Families Florida Resurrection House is a residential program for families who each live in a separate apartment. After a participant graduates from the program and moves out into the community the unit they had occupied is prepared for a new family to move in. This means it is cleaned, painted and repairs are made before it is completely furnished. Here is where volunteers help by doing everything needed to make it look homey. They hang a shower curtain, stock the kitchen with dishes and cooking utensils, put away linens, make beds, move a few pieces of furniture and assemble some as well. Volunteers sometimes also add their own finishing touches by purchasing a plant, making place mats etc. Volunteer teams who participate in apartment set-ups all say it is such a fun and rewarding way to support our families.
