The Florida Resurrection House Mentorship Program connects adults and teens living on the FRH campus with volunteers who share similar interests in career fields, parenting, education, and life skills. Mentors offer knowledge and support to help participants on their journey to self-suffieciency.
Volunteer Role - As a mentor you will provide support on various issues such as:
- Career guidance
- Parenting
- Education
- Life Skills
Comittment:
- Minimum six months
- Weekly or biweekly meetings, with flexible scheduling
- Focus on building a supportive, empowering connection. Your role is to listen, provide resources and help your mentee advocate for themselves as they work toward self-sufficiency.
Goals
- Form a meaningful, supportive relationship with adult or teen participant on their journey to self-sufficiency
- Empower participants through guidance and shared knowledge.
- Assist in the development of self-advocacy, life skills and access to resources that will help them suceed in various aspects of their lives.

Description
At Florida Resurrection House we support families working to change their lives. We believe this work creates a more just and productive Tampa Bay.
We serve families experiencing homelessness with custody of minor children living at or below the federal poverty level who reside in Pinellas, Pasco, or Hillsborough County.
Florida Resurrection House works to end the cycle of generational poverty and build long term stability for families in the Tampa Bay area. We achieve this by:
-offering safe and peaceful transitional housing
-providing intensive case management
-connecting families with wrap around therapeutic services
-incorporating life skills and continuing education
-acting as a supportive community while families do the hard work of changing their lives.
