Main purpose of job: To coordinate Mast Cell Action’s Support Services. Key tasks include: · Coordinate Mast Cell Action’s Support Services using our Salesforce database: arranging matches between volunteers and service users, updating and maintaining data and logging hours · Following our standard operating guidelines for service delivery · Checking in on matches and getting feedback at the end of a match · Conducting 1-1s with volunteers as well as offering informal support · Facilitating group supervisions · Raise safeguarding concerns as appropriate using internal processes and procedures · Maintain confidentiality and follow charity policies and procedures · Undertake relevant training Key Objectives Include: Manage Mast Cell Action’s Peer and Parent Support Services so that the most vulnerable members of the community receive vital 1-1 support and reassurance from their peers. Our support services are delivered by volunteers through phone calls, Zoom video calls, emails, texts, letters and WhatsApp messages. The support is tailored to the individual's needs, and may include: listening, sharing personal experiences, providing emotional support, advocacy, empowerment and signposting. Manage the technical aspects of coordinating the service Represent Mast Cell Action professionally at all times, demonstrating strong communication skills, reliability, and adaptability whilst working remotely Evaluation and growth of services. Experience/skills required: · Proven experience as a service manager or demonstrable skills in this area. · Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt your communication style to different formats and audiences. · Patience, empathy and compassion. Openness to support people from all backgrounds · Reliability and trustworthiness · Proficiency in online databases, preferably previous experience with Salesforce. · Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team, demonstrating reliability, flexibility, and professionalism at all times.

Role Purpose To support the Director of Operations, Engagement and Services and the Treasurer in maintaining the financial records and managing financial administration of Mast Cell Action, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to aid decision-making and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations. --- Key Responsibilities - Assist with processing income and expenditure, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately. - Maintain and update financial records using appropriate software or spreadsheets. - Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for the charity's leadership team. - Collaborate with the Treasurer to prepare financial documentation for the annual audit and other statutory requirements. - Ensure financial records are organised and easily accessible for reporting and compliance. - Monitor income streams, such as donations, grants, and fundraising events, providing regular updates. - Assist with creating and monitoring budgets for specific projects. - Liaise with other volunteers and staff to ensure financial information is collected and processed efficiently. --- Skills and Experience - Basic understanding of financial processes; familiarity with charity finance - Qualified as an accountant or other relevant financial qualification - Proficient in using spreadsheets (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets). Experience with accounting software is desirable. - Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. - Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Mast Cell Action is a UK charity that supports individuals affected by Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). We aim to raise awareness, advocate for improved diagnosis and treatment, and provide support to those impacted. Our Trustee Board oversees the strategic direction and governance of the charity. Role Overview: As a Trustee Board Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our Trustee Board. Your work will directly support the charity's mission to improve the lives of those living with mast cell diseases. Key Responsibilities: Organise and schedule trustee board meetings. Prepare, circulate, and archive meeting agendas, minutes, and related documents. Assist with governance and compliance matters. Ensure accurate record-keeping of board decisions and discussions. Provide general administrative support to the board. Who We’re Looking For: Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Previous experience with minute-taking or document management Ability to work independently and efficiently meet deadlines. A commitment to supporting those affected by mast cell diseases. This role plays a key part in helping us raise awareness about Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and fostering a sense of community. Key Responsibilities Design graphics for social media posts, stories, and campaigns in line with the Mast Cell Action branding guidelines. Collaborate with the social media team to understand content needs and ensure timely delivery of assets. Support the development of visuals for ongoing campaigns, such as "MCAS is..." and "Please Don't Test Me." Create eye-catching visuals for announcements, events, and educational content. Maintain and organise a library of graphics for easy future access and use. Skills and Experience Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar). A keen eye for design, colour, and typography. Ability to interpret and work within brand guidelines. Ability to interpret briefs and translate them into creative designs. Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
