This position calls for a general floater that can move around and fill in areas of need, someone that can fill in gaps if there are volunteer call outs, as well as last minute cancellations or any emergencies from volunteers. A flexible individual that enjoys fast paced tasks and multitasking would be an ideal candidate. We are in need of assistance on Mondays Wednesdays and Friday mornings, between 9-12.

An afternoon volunteer is needed to cover areas of organization, assist with food prep and food pantry support. Specifically for Thursday afternoons from 12-3pm, someone that can come in to organize as well as help us by picking up donations we receive from Chick-Fil-A, down the street. The pick up would be scheduled for 2pm. It's an essential role that allows for Samaritan Resource Center to receive and store donations that will be distributed to homeless residents in need. A mid to large size vehicle would be ideal to complete this task. *Use of masks is optional for our staff, volunteers and clients. We have masks, sanitizer and wipes readily available upon request.*

Clients will check-in through the front window and the volunteer will take necessary information from the client in order to line up the services requested for the day. There will be filing, and access to confidential information, understanding and following HIPPA is essential for this position. This role is from Monday-Friday (we can work around schedules), between 9-12. Onboarding and training will be provided, Spanish speaker would be a plus!

This role is essential in ensuring that we have enough supplies to serve our clients, and it supports the daily operation of our food table and pantry. Key Responsibilities: *Pick up insulated bags from Samaritan resource Center 9837 E Colonial Drive 32817 *Follow a designated route to collect donations from various locations, including convenience stores, restaurants, fast food establishments, and grocery stores. * After collecting donations, return to Samaritan resource Center, bring donations inside and record weights.

Virtual Opportunity
Use networking, promotional, and designing skills to communicate information from Samaritan Resource Center (SRC) to the public. Prepare and edit publications to keep the internal and external audience aware of all the current events and news going on with SRC. Tasks may include managing social media sites, making graphics, sending out newsletters, writing blogs and more. Tell vivid stories to the public about the work we do and maintain positive and strong relationships with the local media. Maintain our brand and increase its awareness through lively and interactive media campaigns. Manage social media sites, including, but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Required skills: Excellent writing skills, knowledge of social media, basic designing skills, time management, creative thinking, and self-motivated. Average workload: Post on all social media platforms at least 3 times per week. Editing both short term and long term projects on a regular basis. Gathering materials for promotional media. If you are a Public Relations or Marketing major looking for an internship credit we may be able to make arrangements with your university.
