Who We Are After-School All-Stars (ASAS) is one of the leading national after-school program providers in the US. Our comprehensive school-based programs combine academics, enrichment, and health and fitness activities to help build the knowledge and skills children need to succeed in school and life. Founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1992, ASAS provides essential enrichment programs to more than 84,000 students at 709 sites across 60 cities. Our chapter currently serves 500 students at 12 sites in Philadelphia and Camden. What We Need What we are looking for is a board member who is dedicated to our cause and furthering our reach through networking and other supports.

Our comprehensive school-based programs combine academics, enrichment, and health and fitness activities to help build the knowledge and skills children need to succeed in school and life. Founded by Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1992, ASAS provides essential enrichment programs to more than 84,000 students at 709 sites across 60 cities. Our chapter currently serves 500 students at 12 sites in Philadelphia and Camden. A Unique Opportunity Program staff volunteers will provide support to help facilitate our after-school enrichment programs. Volunteers serve as assistants to ASAS program staff by helping with a range of tasks such as checking in students, helping with homework, passing out supplies for activities, and other tasks as needed. This opportunity is ideal for volunteers who want to participate in activities alongside students and help staff provide academic support and other project-based learning experiences. We have volunteer opportunities in Philadelphia and Camden. After-school hours are usually between 3 - 6pm.

A Unique Opportunity Guest instructors are volunteers who share their talents by leading an activity related to one of our core program areas: STEM, health & wellness, career exploration, visual & performing arts, academic readiness, or environmental education. Guest instructors can work with program staff to create and lead activities that align with their unique expertise and experiences. Sample activities might include teaching a culinary class, leading a group in yoga, or running a mini "clinic" in the sport of your choice. The possibilities are endless! This volunteer opportunity can be a one-time visit or incorporated into our regular schedule of enrichment programs. We have volunteer opportunities in Philadelphia and Camden. After-school hours are usually between 3 - 6pm.

Our vision is for our All-Stars to be safe and healthy, to graduate high school and go to college, to find careers they love, and then give back to their communities.

Founded in 1992 by Arnold Schwarzenegger, After-School All-Stars (ASAS) is a leading national provider of free, comprehensive after-school programs. Our chapter serves 500 students at 12 sites across Philadelphia and Camden. To best equip our students for success, our curriculum is structured around five core programs: academic readiness, visual and performing arts, STEM learning, health and wellness, and career exploration.
ASAS Philadelphia & Camden offers a holistic approach to extended day learning. We give youth access to valuable after-school programs that respond to their evolving needs and helps them create their own paths to success.
