Lemondrop is looking to add new Volunteers to our family! Due to Covid and loss of funding, we no longer are able to hire lawn service professionals to assist in lawn, yard and landscaping maintenance. We are in need of an individual or a company who would be willing to donate their time to provide this service for Lemondrop. All donations of time will be compensated with a tax donation receipt for the total retail value of time/labor put in to maintenance. Our estimate is that it will take between 1-2 hours once or twice a month to maintain the grass/exterior needs. This would include: -Cutting grass -Trimming overgrown bushes -Any edging required to keep weeds under control For more information about the work Lemondrop does, please visit our Facebook @ Fb.me/lemondropnonprofit

Lemondrop is looking for 3-5 dedicated volunteers to help with our Community Food Outreach in Claremont Minnesota. Volunteers will need the following: -To be able to pass a background check -Have a drivers license -Have a interview with Lemondrop's California Regional Director -Willing and able to dedicate up to 2 hours per week of time to volunteering. What we need are people who will be willing to go to local businesses and pick up donations of day old bread, or other edible foods, and deliver it to local communities that are impoverished or in need. All that is required, is for the volunteer to drop the food to a specific location within the community, they do not need to stay, or hand deliver the food (we have another volunteer who does this portion of the work). The stores may be up to 30 minutes away from the community, so the volunteer needs to be willing to drive to the store and deliver immediately after picking it up. More details will be provided once a potential volunteer passes a background check (these are only done to ensure that volunteers have no history of violent behavior or trafficking). (Note: Our Lemondrop Minnesota location will be opening in April-May of 2020. We are looking to set up volunteers ahead of our grand opening, so that programs can be launched instantly once we are officially open.)

Lemondrop is looking to add new Volunteers to our family! Our Community Outreach is growing, as we are reaching more and more families who have been affected by Covid and job loss in our local communities. Currently we are reaching approximately 1000 people each week, and this number is only growing. We have two shifts that we need long term committed Volunteers for: Tuesday morning (between 9-11am) Friday morning (between 9-11am) Volunteers would be responsible to pick up Donations from a local store in the morning, sometime between the listed hours, and immediately deliver it to a specific location (or possibly split between two locations within the Tallahassee/Havana area). Volunteers will be required to pick up the Donations, sign any paperwork required, photo document their assigned donations, load Donations into their vehicle and then deliver the Donations to pre-assigned drop locations. This will require that each Volunteer carries their own Drivers license and Insurance. Lemondrop does not have the ability to cover gas costs. This is a 100% Volunteer position.

UPDATE 2/2023 We are no longer holding adoption events since COVID. But we DO need help with both our Community Outreach events, weekend fundraising events and help at the Farm Sanctuary. Each area of need is vast, and we need multiple Volunteers to fill positions and help us expand as we grow. Community Outreach events are typically scheduled 10-30 days ahead of time. They are large scale events where we distribute food, clothing and household necessities to people in need. Lemondrop offers free food, clothing, personal and household items to people/families in our community who need a helping hand, usually homeless, vets, single parents and the elderly. We need Volunteers to help keep people orderly moving through the line, help provide them with boxes/bags, and reach out to our Director's if there's any issues noticed. These events are frequently live-streamed or televised. They are usually outdoors and take between 2-5 hours. Farm Sanctuary Volunteers are gleaned from Volunteers that have already been vetted and assessed by our management team and Board of Directors through other fundraising and community outreach events. We take great care to select people to be invited to the Sanctuary, to ensure that the animals will be safe and handled carefully and properly at all times (we are extremely careful after having had issues in the past). Volunteers are only taken for the Sanctuary by special invitation by our Board of Directors. Email us for more information!
