Lemondrop is looking to add new Volunteers to our family! Our Community Outreach is growing, as we are reaching more and more families who have been affected by Covid and job loss in our local communities. Currently we are reaching approximately 1000 people each week, and this number is only growing.
We have two shifts that we need long term committed Volunteers for:
Tuesday morning (between 9-11am)
Friday morning (between 9-11am)
Volunteers would be responsible to pick up Donations from a local store in the morning, sometime between the listed hours, and immediately deliver it to a specific location (or possibly split between two locations within the Tallahassee/Havana area). Volunteers will be required to pick up the Donations, sign any paperwork required, photo document their assigned donations, load Donations into their vehicle and then deliver the Donations to pre-assigned drop locations.
This will require that each Volunteer carries their own Drivers license and Insurance. Lemondrop does not have the ability to cover gas costs. This is a 100% Volunteer position.

Mission Statement

Description
Please visit our website for more information, FAQ's and details about some of our resident animals. Lemondrop is 100% NO KILL. All donations made are tax deductible under FEIN 45-277-6445 as a Federal Tax Exempt NonProfit. All donations go directly toward keeping our doors open and programs running, none of our staff or Volunteers take a paycheck or salary and none of the donations go toward marketing. Lemondrop has been in operation since 2011.
At our Farm Sanctuary, we host over 100 resident farm animals, dogs, cats and exotic birds who have found permanent sanctuary with us and our Volunteers. They remain with us for the rest of their natural lives in a safe, comfortable environment.
At our Community Outreach we provide food, clothing and household items directly to more than 1000 people in need each week at our Tallahassee area distribution alone. We estimate that we reach around 150-300 people at our California location each week.
We operate in Florida, Georgia and California (Farm Sanctuary and headquarters are located solely in Florida).
