Momentum Collective Inc., is seeking assistance with identifying grants and similar external funding opportunities for our organization. We are looking to ramp up efforts to secure federal, state and foundation grant funding for our various initiatives and programs. Familiarity with our overall operation will improve the ability to identify suitable funding opportunities. Individuals would be asked to help scour the internet, foundation databases, and granting sites to identify potential grants that targets the mission and service population of Momentum Collective Inc. These include: Performing arts Youth services Education Leadership development Minorities Low-income Outdoor camping First generation college student scholarships For this opportunity, volunteers can work virtually and will communicate directly with the executive director. If volunteer has experience in grant writing, he/she may work alongside the executive director in crafting grant applications for identified funding opportunities. Volunteers must be comfortable using computing equipment, able to effective utilize internet search tools, be familiar with Google Drive, and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.

Momentum Collective Inc., is seeking individuals with expertise, background, and/or training in marketing/promotion of nonprofits, with a specific focus on the arts. Our organization provides both arts education to youth as well as functions as a performing arts company for adults, and running a children's theater. We are seeking assistance in marketing our various community initiatives as well as our season of performances through a variety of channels including social media, websites, and print media. Volunteer Coordinator

Momentum Collective Inc. is the largest youth serving arts nonprofit in Alexandria, VA and is primarily operated through the support of volunteers. We are seeking a volunteer coordinator to help with any of the four facets of volunteer coordination: recruitment, onboarding, training, recognition. This is a remote opportunity with flexible hours, and a minimal time commitment of 4-6 hours a month.

Video Editor/Production

Flexible Schedule | Virtual Opportunity

Momentum Collective Inc. is seeking talented video editors with experience in coloring grading and correction, and producing a cinematic aesthetic to video content shot for documentaries, music videos, PSAs, and theatrical productions. Familiarity with Final Cut Pro and/or Adobe Premiere is preferred. Access to computing devices able to process 4K content is needed. Volunteers will receive credit for all produced content. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to collaborate with peer video editors on upcoming projects.

Theater Production Crew

We are seeking volunteers to fill a multitude of opportunities related to upcoming theater productions and concerts in the DC metro area. We have youth and adult performances ranging from mini gigs to full theater musicals. Technical skills are not required, just a willingness to serve. Training will be provided to volunteers who need it. Some potential roles include: Audio engineer Lighting designer and technician Videographer Photographer A/V setup team member Stage manager Production assistant Usher Front of house/ticketing Stage hand Hair and makeup assistant Wardrobe supervisor Props manager Advance prep crew Time commitment varies depending on event, so we place tremendous value on flexibility. We traditionally have three productions a year, plus 2-4 performing arts events.
