Position overview
the Volunteer coordinator will play a vital role in recruiting, organizing and supporting volunteers for The Bailey Foundation's events and campaign including the Guinness World Record food drive. Working closely with the executive Director, PRoject Manager, and/or MArketing Lead, the Volunteer Coordinator wil ensure a seamless volunteer experience while fostering a strong sense of community engagement. Successful completion of this role may lead to consideration for a board positon within the foundation.

Key Responsibilities
- Volunteer Recruitment:
- Identify and recruit volunteer through local networks, social media and community organizations.
- Promote volunteer opportunities with engaging content and outreach strategies
- Manage volunteer sign-ups and maintain accurate records
- 2. Volunteer Onboarding:
- Organize and distribute onboarding materials including role descriptions and schedules
- Ensure volunteers are prepared and euipped with the necessary information
- Serve as the main point of contact for onboarding questions and concern
3. Event Day Coordination:
- Maintain consistent communication with volunteer check-in and assignments on the event day
- Provide guidance and support to the volunteers during the event
- Address any issues and ensure volunteers have a positive experience
4. Post Event follow up
- Send thank you notes to volunteers and gather feedbacks
- Assist in creating a report highlightening volunteeer contributions and event success
Qualificayions:
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication abilities both writtena and oral
- Ability to manage and inspire a diverse group of volunteer
- prior experinece in volunteer coordination or event management is a plus
