Volunteer Opportunity Position Title: Outreach Volunteer Coordinator Ministry/Department: Community Life Ministry Reports To: Tamika Spears, Community Life Leader Time Commitment:

• Hours per Week/Month: Approximately 4-6 hours per week

• Schedule Requirements: Flexible; regular planning meetings, occasional community outreach events

• Duration: Ongoing

Position Overview:

The Outreach Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for organizing and leading volunteer efforts related to local and international outreach programs. This role helps ensure that the church’s mission of service, evangelism, and community care is executed effectively. The coordinator will recruit, train, and manage volunteers while facilitating outreach events that make a tangible impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for various outreach programs and events.

2. Coordinate logistics for local and international service projects, including community service days, mission trips, and evangelistic events.

3. Develop partnerships with local organizations to maximize outreach impact.

4. Maintain clear communication with volunteers, ensuring they are informed about events and responsibilities.

5. Work closely with the Associate Pastor to align outreach initiatives with the church’s vision and mission.

Requirements: Spiritual Requirements:

• A heart for serving others and a passion for evangelism.
• Strong desire to engage with and help the community while sharing God’s love.

Membership Requirements:

• Church Membership Not Required
• Regular Attendance Preferred

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum Age Requirement: 18 years old

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in event planning and volunteer coordination.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others to serve.

Training Provided:

• Orientation to church outreach programs and volunteer management tools.

• Ongoing training and mentorship from the Community Life Leader

• Estimated training time: 3-4 hours initially, with additional training as needed.

Support Provided:

• Access to volunteer management software and resources.

• Regular check-ins and feedback from the Community Life Leader

Location:

• Hybrid: Tasks can be completed on-site for meetings and events, and remotely for coordination.
