This holiday season, join us for Winter Hope, a heartwarming event created to uplift, encourage, and support members of the rehab community as they continue their journey of healing and growth. The holidays can be a challenging time for those in recovery, and this event aims to provide not just material gifts, but also a sense of love, belonging, and renewed hope.

We are seeking volunteers to help make this event a success by providing hands-on support and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

As a Winter Hope Volunteer, you will help with:

  • Serving Food: Prepare and serve a festive meal that brings warmth and joy to our guests.
  • Greeting Guests: Be the friendly face that welcomes attendees and helps them feel at home.
  • Organizing Goody Bags: Assemble thoughtful donation bags filled with holiday treats and essentials for our guests to take home.
  • Assisting at Craft Tables: Facilitate engaging craft activities, helping guests express creativity and enjoy the festive spirit.
  • Spreading Encouragement: Share kind words and create a positive, hopeful environment that makes every guest feel valued and supported.

  • Time: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Location: Details will be shared with volunteers after applications are reviewed.

Counselors in the Community Alliance- CITCA serves disadvantaged individuals throughout the United States from urban & rural communities with mental and behavioral health resources by increasing access to services, resources and support for children, adults and families impacted by poverty and poverty-related issues and bridge the gaps to strengthen community resilience through stewardship, economic opportunities, health and education equity.

Description

CITCA is a national 501c3 on a powerful mission to increase strengthen mental health awareness and community resilience. Our association includes a collaborative alliance among counselors, mental health professionals, and community members nationwide engaging in civic community activities that promote mental health awareness and resiliency. Through such allyship the organization strengthens anti-poverty initiatives that bridge the gaps on access to care and socioeconomic resources including programs, education and employment resources.

Since incorporating the nonprofit has been driving impact in social emotional learning, SEL and increasing access to counseling services for low income families. The organization also offer programs for youth leadership development, advocacy, community resources and programs that contribute to prosocial development and other services to close equity gaps

We are seeking volunteers to serve with us who share similar passions to increase mental health awareness and strengthen communities. Volunteers are the driving force our mission would be incomplete without and we welcome all with a passion too serve.
