ORGANIZATION: USDA Forest Service
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Hat Creek Ranger District Visitor Services Team is looking for a motivated person with landscaping and maintenance skills, to help us with the Old Station Visitor Center and Discovery Garden. The visitor center and garden, is a spectacular place to spend your time.
Discovery Garden has strolling gravel walkways that take you from planting bed to panting bed. The garden has focused on native plants but you will find a few of your favorites, intermingled in the beds. The garden includes a lawn area, a rock fountain and mature trees.
The visitor center is an A-frame building with a large wraparound deck, a restroom, picnic tables and a paved parking lot. The grounds are beautiful and are well used by forest visitors in the spring, summer and fall months. The grounds keeping tasks run from April to November for 20-30 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
