Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our dynamic team of developers. As the volunteer CTO of Relif, you will be instrumental in shaping our technological vision, overseeing the development and implementation of our projects, and ensuring that our technology infrastructure effectively supports our mission to deliver relief and support to vulnerable communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the technology strategy to support Relif’s mission and objectives.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, development, and deployment of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
• Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on guidance in software development, architecture design, and problem-solving.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to understand their technology needs and integrate solutions effectively.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest standards of code quality, security, and performance across all technological initiatives.
• Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to keep Relif at the forefront of technological advancements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in a senior technology role, preferably as a CTO or similar position within non-profit or mission-driven organizations.
• Development Skills: Strong background in software development, including proficiency in languages and frameworks such as Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, or similar technologies.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a technical team, manage projects, and drive strategic initiatives.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to align technology with organizational goals and develop long-term plans for growth and innovation.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
