Virtual Opportunity
Relif is scaling its modular crisis-management platform from closed beta to a multi-organization pilot. To ensure the system performs in real-world settings and delivers measurable value to humanitarian actors, we need structured, hands-on support to coordinate live tests, capture user feedback, and turn insights into product improvements. Your work will directly accelerate Relif’s mission of reducing duplication and improving speed, transparency, and impact in disaster response. Primary responsibilities Test planning & coordination: Co-create a rolling test calendar, align it with upcoming feature drops, and schedule sessions with partner NGOs and field teams. Onboarding & facilitation: Guide new testers through account setup, workflows (beneficiaries, assistance, shelter, volunteers), and feedback channels; ensure each participant understands objectives and success criteria. Issue triage & documentation: Log bugs, usability friction, and data-quality gaps in our issue tracker (Supabase) with clear replication steps and priority tags. Data & insight synthesis: Consolidate qualitative observations and quantitative usage metrics into concise weekly notes that inform sprint retros and product road-map decisions. Stakeholder engagement: Maintain open, professional communication with partner NGO focal points-answering queries, sharing quick-reference guides, and surfacing "voice-of-the-user" insights to the Relif team. Reach expansion: Identify and pre-qualify additional NGOs, VOADs, or municipal civil-defence units suitable for the next testing cohort; draft brief outreach messages and track conversion pipeline. What success looks like At least 5 new organizations onboarded and actively using key Relif modules within the first 90 days. A steady cadence of high-quality test sessions (≥2 per week) with ≥80 % completion of feedback forms. Actionable weekly insight memos that shorten our bug-fix cycle time and feed directly into product decisions. Positive satisfaction rating (≥4/5) from partner testers on onboarding clarity and ongoing support. Ideal profile Proven experience-or strong interest-in humanitarian operations, user-research, QA, or product management. Comfortable distilling complex workflows into plain-language guidance. Organized, self-directed, and at ease juggling multiple partners across time zones. Fluency in English; working proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is a plus. Familiarity with collaboration tools (Notion, Slack, Jira/Linear) and basic data-analysis in spreadsheets. Alignment with Relif’s values of transparency, collaboration, and evidence-based decision-making. What we offer A front-row seat in building a high-impact, open-source humanitarian tech product. Direct mentorship from Relif’s founders-seasoned in disaster response, product strategy, and grant-funded operations. Opportunities to expand your professional network among NGOs, UN clusters, and civic-tech innovators. Written reference and LinkedIn endorsement upon successful completion of the volunteer term.
