Volunteer Description:
We are a nonprofit seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers with tutoring experience to support middle and high school student-athletes in Gwinnett County. Volunteers will provide academic assistance to student-athletes who need help with a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies. The role involves working with students twice a month at 2:00 PM, helping them improve their academic performance while balancing their athletic commitments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current or retired educator with experience in middle or high school education
- Familiarity with a range of subjects (math, science, English, social studies)
- Strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring student-athletes
- Ability to work one-on-one or in small groups
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude
