Position Title: Volunteer Speaker - Goal Setting and Life Management with Positive Affirmations
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, results-driven individual to volunteer as a Speaker for our Goal Setting and Life Management workshop. This role is ideal for someone committed to helping individuals overcome negative self-talk, use positive affirmations, and develop actionable goals for personal and professional growth. As a Volunteer Speaker, you will lead a 40-minute session focused on goal setting, life management strategies, and practical techniques for overcoming mental barriers through positive self-talk and affirmation practices.
We’re looking for a passionate, results-driven individual with:
- Experience in personal development, coaching, or motivational speaking.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect and engage a diverse audience.
- Knowledge of goal-setting techniques, life management strategies, and how to use positive affirmations to overcome negative self-talk.
- Empathy and the ability to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for participants.
- Organizational skills to deliver a clear and structured 40-minute presentation that is both informative and engaging.
- A commitment to South Project’s mission of empowering young mothers and fostering positive change.
Nice to have:
- Background in psychology, counseling, or social work.
- Experience working with young mothers or underserved populations.
- Previous experience delivering workshops, webinars, or group coaching sessions.
- A passion for motivational speaking and creating transformative experiences for others.
Time Commitment:
- 1-2 hours for preparation and content creation.
- 40-minute presentation during the Goal Setting and Life Management Workshop.

Description
South Project is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering young mothers, under 23 years old, by providing mentorship, educational resources, and a supportive community. Our mission is to equip young mothers with the skills, confidence, and resources they need to overcome the challenges of early parenthood and build successful, independent futures for themselves and their children.
We offer personalized mentorship, educational workshops on topics such as parenting, financial literacy, and career development, as well as essential resources to help our participants thrive. Through these programs, we aim to reduce stigma, provide emotional support, and create opportunities for young mothers to succeed in all aspects of their lives.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors. Board members play a critical role in helping us expand our impact, develop sustainable fundraising strategies, and provide strategic guidance to achieve our mission.
