Position Overview
The Community Volunteer Recruitment Ambassador will play a vital role in engaging local communities to recruit individuals for mission-critical volunteer positions within the American Red Cross. This position focuses on relationship-building, outreach, and presenting opportunities to potential volunteers to ensure our organization continues to fulfill its mission of preventing and alleviating human suffering.

Key Responsibilities

1. Community Outreach and Presentations:

   • Deliver engaging presentations to community groups, schools, businesses, and local organizations about volunteering opportunities with the American Red Cross.
   • Share information on the benefits and impact of becoming a volunteer, with a focus on mission-critical roles.

2. Relationship Building:

   • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, local organizations, and other key stakeholders to promote volunteer opportunities.
   • Collaborate with local networks to identify and encourage potential volunteers.

3. Recruitment Support:

   • Actively identify and connect with individuals interested in volunteering.
   • Work with the recruitment team to match potential volunteers to suitable roles within the organization.

Time Commitment

• 3-month commitment.
• Approximately 4-8 hours per month.

Support Provided

• Access to training and resources to support recruitment efforts.
• Gas and vehicle provided for travel to outreach events and presentations.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable speaking to groups and representing the American Red Cross.
• Passion for community engagement and service.
• Prior experience in recruitment or public speaking (preferred but not required).
