We are seeking a dedicated person to make contact patients or care givers. Required 1 day a week (Wednesday or Thursday) for "Tuck-In" contacts to verify no missing items needed to get them through the weekend. Must be able to work alone (once having training), complete paperwork, be able to come to the office in McKinney to make the calls and offer about 1 hour per week.
Once calls are made, you would need to contact the Nursing staff to make sure all supplies, medications or equipment will be delivered to the patient within 1-2 days. Must have professional phone skills, able to complete forms, and legible printing/handwriting.

Providing care and comfort to patients. Opportunities include direct patient visitation and administrative support. We provide feedback to schools for volunteer credit. We provide internships for those in nursing and social work. Travel will be limited, with the exception of internships, which may be only to visit different sites. Our goal is to provide companionship as well as socialization to those who express desire to have a volunteer visit. Our scope of activities may be limitless, we help with light housekeeping, running errands, helping with activities, quiet time to reflect and hear life experiences.
