Delta Rising Foundation accelerates science-based systemic solutions as we evolve the art of sustainable culture. Our work focuses on indigenous-led carbon and biodiversity projects and increasing green infrastructure in communities with low climate resilience. We’re looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Associate to assist our Social Media Manager in spreading our mission and engaging our online community.

Job Summary:

As a Social Media Associate, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our Social Media Manager with content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across our platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in social media management and nonprofit communications while contributing to meaningful causes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the Social Media Manager in developing and scheduling content across platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)

- Help create visually appealing graphics and draft engaging captions that align with our mission and voice

- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities and respond to comments and messages as needed

- Research relevant trends, hashtags, and content ideas to keep our content fresh and relevant

- Track and report on social media metrics to help optimize content and strategy

- Support in brainstorming and executing social media campaigns and outreach initiatives

Qualifications:

- Experience with social media platforms and basic understanding of content strategies

- Strong writing skills with a knack for crafting engaging and clear messages

- Familiarity with design tools like Canva, Adobe Spark, or similar tools (experience in Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus)

- Passion for environmental, cultural, or social causes

- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team setting

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience managing or creating content for social media (personal or professional)

- Basic understanding of social media metrics and analytics

- Prior experience in nonprofit or volunteer work (not required but a plus)
