Volunteers are critically important for visiting patients at the end of life that do not have family or friends that regularly visit. VITAS Healthcare is looking for Patient Volunteers to visit patients on hospice residing in their own homes located in the South St. Louis County area, 63129.
Volunteers help terminally ill patients and their families by making friendly visits to provide companionship and socialization, playing games and music, assist with errands and tasks in the home as well as caregiver relief.
VITAS Healthcare provides comprehensive training and orientation for hospice volunteering on communication skills, family dynamics and how to make a positive difference for patients and their caregivers. Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non- medical support to hospice patients and their family or offering support services in the office. We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals to volunteers for our patients in their homes or in nursing facilities in the community.
