Are you passionate about using your YouTube channel to make a difference? LEDI is looking for a Volunteer YouTuber who can help amplify our message, share impactful stories, and raise awareness about our mission and ongoing projects. As a YouTube content creator, you will play a crucial role in educating and engaging our audience, both locally and internationally, on the importance of economic development in Liberia and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation: Develop and produce YouTube videos that highlight LEDI's projects, success stories, and key events. Videos could include interviews, behind-the-scenes looks at our programs, educational content, and other economic development initiatives.

  • Video Editing: Edit video footage to create engaging and high-quality content that resonates with our audience.

  • Promotion: Work with LEDI’s marketing team to cross-promote videos on social media and other platforms to maximize reach.

  • Engagement: Respond to viewer comments and engage with the online community to build relationships and support for LEDI’s work.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in video production and editing (familiarity with platforms like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc. is a plus).

  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to communicate LEDI's mission in a compelling way.

  • Knowledge of YouTube's algorithms and strategies for growing a channel.

  • Previous experience managing a YouTube channel or creating video content is preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for social impact.

LEDI's mission is to reduce poverty and improve the lives of Liberians living in extreme poverty. Today, Liberia remains one of the few countries in the world without a single modern public library and technology center. With an illiteracy rate of over 50% (70% among girls) this must change. Liberia Economic Development Initiative (LEDI) is a US-based, 501 (c)(3) tax exempt nonprofit organization with an international focus providing life changing literacy, economic development and humanitarian programs and interventions to disadvantaged people in Liberia, West Africa, which is the fourth poorest country in the world. Since 2007, LEDI has provided over 750 educational scholarships and empowered countless individuals and communities through economic development and humanitarian relief.
