Volunteer Opportunity: Project Coordinator (PC)
The Center for Sustainable Journeys in Engineering and Innovation is seeking Project Coordinators (PCs) to support the management and development of a variety of sustainability-focused initiatives. These projects aim to create positive community impacts through renewable energy, educational programs, and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Support: Assist Project Managers (PMs) with project planning and coordination, ensuring tasks are aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor and report on project milestones, deadlines, and overall progress, identifying any potential delays or challenges.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with community outreach and grant coordinator volunteers to ensure effective communication and alignment across project teams.
- Documentation and Reporting: Support the preparation of project documentation, including progress reports, presentations, and other materials required by stakeholders or funders.
- Logistics Management: Help maintain project schedules and organize logistics, such as meeting coordination, resource allocation, and task assignments.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with communicating updates and information to team members, community participants, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
- Experience in project coordination or similar roles.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and community members.
- Ability to adapt and contribute effectively to evolving project needs.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving challenges.
This is a remote role with potential in-person activities for local projects. Due to current background screening and security protocols, we can only accept volunteer applicants from North America, South America, and the European Union.
Additional Information:Background Check:To ensure the safety and integrity of our programs, a background check is required for this role. Volunteers are asked to cover the associated costs, with fee waivers available for those in need.
Optional Membership Information:This is a Tier III Non-Voting Membership role, ideal for individuals who want to support the mission and enjoy basic membership benefits.
Tier III Membership Benefits ($120 annually):
- Contribute to advancing sustainability while joining a network of like-minded individuals.
- Receive newsletters and updates about organizational initiatives and achievements.

Membership is not required to volunteer, but the $120 annual fee for Tier III membership supports our mission and provides additional engagement opportunities.
Time Commitment:5-7 hours per week, with flexibility based on project activities.
