Canvas of Care Program

The Canvas of Care Program offers sip-n-paint sessions for seniors at various Adult Day Health Care Centers in Los Angeles. This initiative provides a creative and engaging environment where seniors can express themselves through art while building connections with one another. We are seeking passionate volunteers to guide these monthly sessions, helping participants explore their creativity and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of painting. Volunteers will play a crucial role in fostering a supportive atmosphere, ensuring that each senior feels encouraged and valued as they create their masterpieces.

To make our program accessible to all participants, we are particularly looking for volunteers who can speak Korean, Spanish, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. By having multilingual volunteers, we can better serve our diverse senior community and enhance the overall experience for everyone involved. If you are enthusiastic about art and have a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors, we would love to have you join us in this rewarding endeavor!

Silver Readers Circle

The Silver Readers Circle is a weekly reading class held in rehabilitation centers and nursing homes, where seniors come together to immerse themselves in the world of literature. Participants engage with beloved classics and contemporary works, guided by the rhythm of storytelling, creating a rich and enjoyable experience. We are seeking dedicated volunteers to facilitate these sessions, encouraging discussions and fostering a love for reading among our seniors. Your guidance will help spark joy and a sense of community as participants share their thoughts and reflections on the readings.

To ensure inclusivity and support for all seniors, we are looking for volunteers who speak Korean, Spanish, English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. By welcoming volunteers from diverse linguistic backgrounds, we can enhance the experience for our participants and help bridge any communication gaps. If you have a passion for literature and a heart for service, we invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of seniors through the power of reading.
