Open minds and hearts

Do you have previous experience with intercultural exchange, either as a student or host family? Would you like to help make a difference in the world? Youth for Understanding (YFU) is looking for volunteers to help interview potential study abroad students.

YFU is one of the world's largest and most respected international exchange organizations. Our exchange programs include both American and international students in over 60 countries worldwide!

Interviewers will receive assignments to be completed either in-person or via apps such as Zoom or Skype. They will be asking questions to discover the student’s interest in studying abroad, learn about their personality, and determine their readiness for an exchange program. This is an on-going project throughout the year as we focus on different programs and scholarship students. Note: In Dec/Jan, groups of 5-10 applicants may be assigned to volunteers at one time to be interviewed over a 2-week period.
