Job Description: Health Fair Event Organizer
Position Title: Health Fair Event Organizer
Location: St. Louis, Missouri, Remote
Type: Volunteer
Event Focus: Cardiovascular Health
Event Frequency: Annual (First Annual Event)
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and organized Health Fair Event Organizer to plan and execute our first annual Health Fair focused on cardiovascular health. This event aims to raise awareness, provide health screenings, and educate the community on heart health, cholesterol management, and the impact of stress on cardiovascular function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning and Coordination:
- Develop a comprehensive event plan, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, vendors, and community organizations to secure participation and support.
- Identify and book a suitable venue for the event.
- Ensure all necessary permits and insurance are obtained.
- Community Outreach and Engagement:
- Promote the event through various channels, including social media, local media, and community organizations.
- Engage with local communities, particularly those at higher risk for cardiovascular diseases, to encourage participation.
- Develop and distribute educational materials on cardiovascular health.
- Logistics Management:
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of the event, ensuring all equipment and materials are in place.
- Coordinate volunteer efforts, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.
- Manage on-site logistics during the event, ensuring a smooth and successful experience for all attendees.
- Health Screenings and Educational Activities:
- Organize and manage health screening stations (e.g., blood pressure, cholesterol levels).
- Arrange for educational workshops and demonstrations on topics such as stress management, healthy eating, and exercise.
- Ensure that all health information provided is accurate and up-to-date.
- Evaluation and Reporting:
- Collect feedback from participants, vendors, and volunteers to assess the event’s success.
- Prepare a detailed report on the event’s outcomes, including attendance, participant satisfaction, and areas for improvement.
- Use feedback to plan and improve future events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in the health or nonprofit sector (NOT A MUST BUT WOULD BE BENEFICIAL).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cardiovascular health issues and community health promotion is a plus.
- Proficiency in using event management software and social media platforms.
Compensation: This is a volunteer position without monetary compensation. If you also can run a successful fundraising campaign, we will pay you for this effort. This will be discussed before the start of your work.

Making a Measurable Difference in Heart Health: We listen to community stakeholders (200+ so far!), provide free screenings & education at planned health fairs, and involve trusted members of the community in our outreach-based research. "Health Fair as a Service" program brings awareness directly to local communities nationwide.
Strong Foundation, Expanding Our Reach and Growing Our National Footprint: Secure private funding launched us. We seek grant writers to expand our initiatives (Virtual Clinic, Health Fairs as a Service, etc.) and reach new cities (Indianapolis, Atlanta, Louisville, Orlando, San Jose, and Bloomington-Normal are imminent). Our vision for heart health is global.
Raising Awareness, Sparking Change: Our research informs educational programs and targeted social media campaigns that address both identified and hidden community needs. We seek volunteers with social media, graphic design, and email marketing skills to expand our outreach efforts and empower communities to take charge of their heart health.
Empowering All Ages Through Education: Our curricula educate all ages on heart health. Key points are given at health fairs, the full program will be on our website & YouTube channel. Video creators are needed for a wider reach.
