Foundation Trustee

The Boys & Girls Club of Vista Foundation is looking for a qualified trustee to serve on its Board. The Foundation is a separate 501c3 that is dedicated to supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Vista through investments and marketing its planned giving program to help leave a legacy for future generations of youth.

1.A trustee is knowledgeable about the Club's mission, vision and goals as well as current operations and issues.

2.Each director has a fiduciary responsibility to the organization to provide sound financial management and help market its planned giving programs.

3.A trustee actively supports the BGCV’s mission, vision and goals.

4.A trustee makes the BGCV a priority in his/her annual charitable giving and contributes time and expertise to the Club’s resource development program.

5.A trustee attends meetings well prepared and participates fully in all matters. Trustees are expected to:

a.Attend 3 out of 4 Board meetings per year.

b. Complete annual background check and all required safety trainings as mandated by Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

6.A trustee accepts and supports Board decisions and respects Board confidentiality.

7.A trustee guards against conflicts of interest, whether business-related or personal.The director takes care to separate the interests of the organization from the specific needs of a particular member or constituency.

9.A trustee has the responsibility to support the organization and its CEO and to demonstrate support within the community.
