Holiday Meal Service Opportunity at the Center for Women and Children

ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America, Utah

Help bring warmth and joy to the women and children at the Center for Women and Children this holiday season by preparing and serving traditional holiday meals. Your support ensures that no one goes without during these special times, and your contribution will help create a sense of home and community for those in need.

We are seeking volunteers to purchase or otherwise provide and serve a traditional lunch and/or dinner, including a main course, side dishes, and optional beverages/desserts, for up to 35 people on the following holidays:

  • Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, November 28, 2024

    • Lunch: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Serving begins at 12:30 PM)
    • Dinner: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Serving begins at 6:00 PM)
  • Christmas Eve: Tuesday, December 24, 2024

    • Lunch: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Serving begins at 12:30 PM)
    • Dinner: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Serving begins at 6:00 PM)
  • Christmas Day: Wednesday, December 25, 2024

    • Lunch: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Serving begins at 12:30 PM)
    • Dinner: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Serving begins at 6:00 PM)
  • New Year’s Day: Wednesday, January 1, 2025

    • Lunch: 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM (Serving begins at 12:30 PM)
    • Dinner: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Serving begins at 6:00 PM)

Guidelines:

  • Traditional holiday dishes are encouraged to help create a festive atmosphere.
  • Our kitchen is available for use, but due to space limitations, we can accommodate a maximum of 8 volunteers at a time.
  • We ask that once you commit, we can count on you to ensure everyone has a meal and a meaningful holiday experience.
