Volunteers of America, Utah's Amplified Mentoring Program is looking for reliable, caring adults to provide youth with support as they grow and develop into successful members of our community. We're looking for kindhearted, compassionate adults to help shape today's youth to become upstanding citizens in the community. This program supports positive youth development by connecting young people with a one-to-one volunteer mentor. When youth know that someone cares about them and they are recognized for their contributions, they are more likely to develop their skills, make healthy choices, and achieve self-sufficiency. To be a mentor you must be at least 21 years of age and willing to commit to meet with a mentee for at least 6 to 8 hours a month for 9 months. For more information on how to impact a young person’s life in a positive way and become a mentor - CLICK HERE to see our website or reach out to Maira Rodriguez |maira.rodriguez@voaut.org | (385)-341-3573 Or apply to be a mentor using the link attached to this opportunity.

At the Men’s Detox facility at Recovery on Redwood, we’re working hard to provide our clients with the basic necessities as they work toward recovery. Right now, we’re in urgent need of men’s clothing, especially plus sizes, which are often under-donated. Here’s what we’re asking for: Men’s clothing (all sizes, particularly plus sizes) Men’s shoes Hygiene essentials (soap, shampoo, razors, deodorant, etc.) Winter gear (coats, hats, gloves, blankets, tents) Our clients deserve clothing and items that make them feel valued and supported. Your donations not only provide these essentials but also offer encouragement, reminding our clients that the greater community is standing behind them and cares for their well-being. Donating is easy- you can drop off items at Recovery on Redwood, 1875 S Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84104. For more information, or to schedule a donation appointment, please contact Alma Mancera or Nicole Henderson at 801-440-1451. Donation appointments can also be scheduled using the following link: Schedule Donation Appointment. Help us keep our community members warm and cared for this winter, and show them they are not alone in their journey!
