Volunteers touch the lives of our patients and their families. Whether reading to a patient, preparing a meal for a family or cleaning up around the house, each gesture makes a meaningful impact on those we serve.
Hospice Volunteer opportunities include:
- Patient Support - friendly visits, reading to a patient, light housekeeping, writing letters and meal prep
- Bereavement support - visit with the bereaved in person or over the phone, assist with grief support groups, coordinate community resources, bereavement mailings and calls
- Administrative support - copying, faxing, filing, sending cards to staff, making deliveries
- Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers - Veteran Volunteers who offer camaraderie and compassionate care for fellow veterans and pinning ceremonies
- 11th hour volunteers - Trained non-medical volunteers who offer emotional support to patients and caregivers in the last hours of life.
- Other services - Pet therapy, art therapy, music therapy and more

Agave Hospice and Palliative Care is currently seeking volunteers to provide exceptional care to patient’s and families enrolled in our Hospice Program.
