Join our compassionate team of hospice volunteers and help provide comfort, connection, and care when it matters most. We’re currently welcoming summer volunteers in a variety of roles, including: Companionship Visits - Sit with patients, share stories, or simply offer a quiet presence. Pet Therapy - Certified therapy animals welcome! Legacy Projects - Help patients create memory books, letters, or recordings for loved ones. Bereavement Support - Assist with mailings, calls, or grief support. Office & Administrative Help - Keep our team running smoothly behind the scenes. Youth Volunteers - Students 14+ can earn service hours and gain life-changing perspective. Vigil Volunteers - Be a calm, caring presence at end of life. Whether you have a few hours a week or more to give, your time can offer priceless peace and companionship to patients and their families. Training is provided, and schedules are flexible. Help ensure hospice patients and families feel supported and cared for each week. At Agave Hospice, we go the extra mile to stay connected with our patients and their caregivers-not just through in-person visits, but with regular phone check-ins that bring comfort and peace of mind. As a Volunteer Caller, you’ll help us by: Checking in before the weekend to ensure patients and families have everything they need. Offering a listening ear-giving patients and caregivers the chance to connect with a compassionate voice. Flexible opportunity: Make calls from our office or from your own phone at home. Calls typically happen on Wednesdays or Thursdays, just a few hours each week. Training and scripts provided - all you need is your warmth and reliability! Your time can make a big difference in helping families feel seen, heard, and supported. Join us in creating meaningful moments-one phone call at a time.

Do you have a heart for service and a desire to honor those who’ve worn the uniform? At Agave Hospice, we are seeking veterans or military-connected individuals to join our Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program. Many of our patients are veterans themselves-and there's something uniquely comforting about sharing time with someone who understands the military experience. What You’ll Do: Provide companionship and conversation to veteran patients Listen to life stories, reminisce, and share mutual respect Assist with pinning ceremonies to recognize and thank fellow veterans Help create legacy projects or write letters with/for patients Offer presence and dignity near the end of life Why Veterans? Veterans often find it easier to open up to other veterans. You get it. Whether you served in peacetime or combat, your presence can offer connection, healing, and deep meaning to a fellow service member’s final chapter. Time Commitment: Flexible - we’ll work with your schedule. Training provided. No medical experience required. Training: We provide training on everything there is to know about being a hospice volunteer, from what to say, things to expect and how to serve with your unique gifts and talents. We set you up for success!
