ILCIRA is seeking a dedicated and skilled volunteer to join our team as a Workflow Automation Volunteer. This role is ideal for individuals looking to apply their expertise in Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate to enhance our operational efficiency. The volunteer will play a crucial role in simplifying workflows and implementing automatic notifications, ultimately contributing to our mission of improving lifeguard response in critical incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Workflow Analysis: Assess current workflows and identify areas for improvement using automation tools.

Power BI Development: Create visually engaging dashboards and reports to provide insights into key operational metrics and data.

PowerApps Creation: Develop user-friendly applications to streamline data collection and reporting processes for our team.

Power Automate Implementation: Design and implement automated workflows that enhance communication and task management across the organization.

Collaboration: Work closely with team members to understand their needs and provide technical support during the transition to automated processes.

Training & Documentation: Assist in creating documentation and training materials to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and processes.

Qualifications:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, PowerApps, and Power Automate.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

- Experience in process improvement or workflow optimization is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimum supervision.

- Previous experience in a volunteer or internship setting is preferred but not required.

Commitment:

This position requires a commitment of 8-10 hours per week for a minimum duration of 6 months. Flexibility in scheduling is available, but consistency is crucial for project continuity.

Mission Statement

The mission of the ILCIRA is to coordinate access to the education, training, consultation, and support needed to assist emergency responders within the aquatics community to better manage the aftermath of a critical incident.

Description

Critical Incident Stress Management Services will be provided by an Aquatic Critical Incident Response Team (AqCIRT). Interventions will be provided by certified Lifeguard Peer Support Volunteers (LPSVs) and Mental Health Providers (MHPs) following the protocols of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF).
ILCIRA has direct responsibility for the overall organization of the AqCIRT, the success of which depends upon a true intra-agency effort. The AqCIRT is intended to be an intra-agency partnership with local aquatics management teams, accreditation bodies and aquatics associations which provides support after Critical Incidents to Lifeguards, Allied Aquatics Professionals and their Aquatic Management Teams.
