Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Special Events Intern to join our team and assist in the planning and execution of various events. As a Special Events Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in coordinating events, from concept development to on-site execution. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about event management and looking to contribute to the success of exciting and impactful gatherings.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning:
- Collaborate with the events team to conceptualize and plan a variety of special events, including conferences, workshops, product launches, and social gatherings.
- Assist in developing event timelines, budgets, and logistical plans.
Logistics Coordination:
- Support the logistics of events, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, transportation, and on-site coordination.
- Ensure all event materials and resources are prepared and delivered on time.
Vendor Management:
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to secure services and negotiate contracts.
- Coordinate with external partners to ensure seamless collaboration and execution.
Promotion and Marketing:
- Assist in the development of promotional materials for events.
- Contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies to maximize event attendance.
On-Site Support:
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring all logistics run smoothly.
- Assist with attendee registration, information dissemination, and problem resolution.
Post-Event Evaluation:
- Participate in post-event evaluations to analyze the success of each event.
- Collect feedback from attendees and stakeholders to improve future events.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college program or a college-aged individual with a strong interest in Event Planning, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Prior event planning experience is a plus, but not required.
