ORGANIZATION: Philly Tech Sistas
Please visit the new page to apply.
Are you passionate about making an impact in tech and supporting women of color as they navigate their career journeys? Philly Tech Sistas is inviting volunteer tech recruiters to join our monthly Coffee & Connect events-a casual and inspiring gathering where women of color in tech come together to share resources, advice, and to expand their networks.
As a volunteer recruiter, you’ll help create a supportive, "ask me anything" style environment for women looking to take their next step in tech. Your presence will provide valuable insights into navigating the tech job market, what it's like to work with a recruiter, resume tips, interview advice, and fostering connections that help build long-lasting careers.
What You’ll Do:
- Engage in informal networking and career conversations during our event.
- Answer questions and share your recruiting expertise in a discussion-style casual environment.
- Offer advice on navigating the tech industry, from resumes to interviews, etc.
- We meet every month, typically on a Saturday at a local coffee shop. Simply choose a month that works best for you.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for supporting diversity and inclusion in tech.
- Experience in tech recruiting, hiring, or career coaching.
- Willingness to share knowledge in a welcoming and nonjudgmental space.
- A desire to help women of color succeed and grow in their tech careers.
By volunteering, you’re not just attending an event-you’re helping to change the face of tech by offering real-time support, empowerment, and connection. If you’re ready to make a difference, we’d love to have you join us!
