The Pitch
Are you passionate about building strong communities and creating equitable housing opportunities? NeighborScapes is seeking board members who will help guide our mission to create sustainable, safe, and thriving neighborhoods. As a board member, you will play an essential role in dismantling gentrification, promoting homeownership, and fostering empowerment in underserved communities. Your contributions will help us ensure that more residents can achieve stability and growth through housing and community service initiatives.

Programs
NeighborScapes leads impactful programs, including:

• Innovation Houses: Acquisition and rehabilitation of vacant and blighted properties to create co-living spaces for mission-driven individuals committed to community service and civic engagement.
• SHIFT Chicago: A partnership aimed at shifting mindsets and providing better opportunities to those needing a second chance.
• Mindful Parenting Program: A transformative initiative supporting families with resources to build resilience and stronger family bonds.

Commitments of Time, Talent, and Treasure
NeighborScapes encourages board members to leverage their unique skills and networks to support our mission. While there is no set financial requirement, we ask that board members make a personally significant annual contribution. Board members are also expected to actively engage in fundraising efforts and assist in connecting the organization to vital resources and opportunities.
