Bristol Hospice Dallas is seeking music volunteers to make an impact on the lives of our patients and their families through the power of music. Your musical talents can bring comfort, joy, and a sense of peace in the midst of a difficult time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide live music performances or play recorded music for patients in their own homes or facilities/nursing homes/group homes
- Engaging with patients in music activities and cater to their own favorite music
- Maintain a respectful and supportive presence, adhering to patient confidentiality and comfort
Requirements:
- A passion for music and a desire to support those on hospice services
- Completion of background checks, TB testing, online training, and orientation prior to volunteering
- For volunteers under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must accompany them during ALL volunteer activities when working directly with our patients

Description
Bristol Hospice Dallas provides hospice services to meet the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to terminal illness.
Volunteers are an important part of the hospice model. Volunteers provide special compassionate presence and support to our patients and family in ways that only a volunteer can. When a volunteer visits a patient, they are visiting the patient because they want to be there. It's not a job or an obligation. That is a powerful action for our patients and families!
