Role:
Create and Spark: Design and lead vibrant lesson plans that bring the magic of creative writing, dance, and drama to life. Inspire students to dive into their imaginations and showcase their unique talents.
Lead with Energy: Conduct energetic group sessions where students get to explore and express their creativity through writing, dancing, or acting. Make every session a dynamic and interactive experience!
Celebrate Progress: Keep an eye on students’ artistic journeys, offering encouraging feedback and celebrating their growth as they master new skills and create impressive performances.
Build a Creative Community: Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere where students feel confident to share their ideas, collaborate with peers, and embrace their artistic voices.
Share the Excitement: Keep students and parents in the loop about their progress and upcoming events. Build excitement around performances and showcases that highlight students' hard work and creativity.
Collaborate and Shine: Work closely with fellow instructors and staff to amplify the performing arts programs, ensuring a well-rounded and exciting experience for all participants.
Stay Organized: Maintain up-to-date records of attendance, progress, and achievements, making sure everything runs smoothly and students are on track for success.
Get Involved: Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and all things related to the performing arts. Be an active and enthusiastic part of the artistic community.
Qualifications:
Artistic Experience: Background in creative writing, dance, drama, or other performing arts. Your passion and experience in these areas will light up the classroom.
Pursuing Passion: Working towards a degree in Performing Arts, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama, Education, or a related field.
Passion for the Arts: A deep love for the arts and a drive to inspire and support students in their creative journeys.
Creative Spirit: Ability to design engaging and imaginative activities that captivate students and spark their artistic exploration.
Empathetic Approach: Patience and a supportive nature, creating an environment where every student feels valued and encouraged.
Organizational Wizard: Strong skills in managing lesson plans, rehearsals, and all the details that make performances and classes successful.
Skills:

About I’RAISE: I'RAISE Girls & Boys International Corporation, founded in the heart of the North Bronx in 2012, began as a mentoring program for at-risk female youth living in New York City Authority Housing. Under the visionary leadership of CEO Shanequa Moore, the organization quickly expanded its reach and impact. Shanequa, a Bronx native who overcame poverty and significant life challenges, was inspired to give back to her community, creating a resilient organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and youth.
