ORGANIZATION: CENTRAL VIRGINIA WATERCOLOR GUILD

We are looking for a volunteer to maintain our Wordpress website www.cvwg.art The site needs to be kept up to date with monthly meeting notes, editing and displaying photos of art work, maintaining a Google calendar, answering queries from the public. Membership in the Guild is currently 78 artists and more of them need to be encouraged to use the website. We also have initiated PayPal transactions on the site for annual dues and for donations. There is an opportunity for composing a Blog about watercolor exhbitions, Guild member activities and exhibits, and other related subject matter. Out current webmaster can help with the transition through the end of this year. Keeping Wordpress fees and domain fees current each year,

To foster the advancement of all forms of water-media painting and promote the highest levels of excellence in the use of these media. To inform and educate the general public about the use of water-media painting and encourage and promote the study of these varied media. To provide an exchange of information among artists working with these tools and always combine camaraderie with creativity.

Description

The Central Virginia Watercolor Guild was formed in 1991 by several local artists. It meets monthly at the Church of Our Savior on Rio Road. The Guild welcomes artists at all levels and strives to educate and improve water media skills through demonstrations, lectures, and occasional museum trips.
