About PINNACLES NATIONAL PARK FOUNDATION

Location:

PO BOX 2080, HOLLISTER, CA 95024, US

Mission Statement

The Pinnacles National Park Foundation exists to support the National Park Service and Pinnacles National Park in serving as a place where visitors of all ages can connect with the natural and cultural resources of Pinnacles National Park and be inspired to join in its stewardship.

Description

The Pinnacles National Park Foundation (PNPF) was founded in 2006 to support Pinnacles’ transition from one of the first National Monuments to a National Park (2013). Located in mountains east of the Salinas Valley, 80 miles southeast of San Jose, the park is known for its unique rock formations, diverse ecosystems, and rare wildlife, including the critically endangered California condor. PNPF was created by community members and environmentalists dedicated to preserving these natural resources.

Our young but growing all-volunteer, nonprofit organization needs people who can help with operations as well as strategy, in roles and areas such as:

  • Board members
  • Vice Chair, Condor Fund
  • Social Media and Website Coordinators
  • Membership Development Coordinator
  • Newsletter Coordinator
  • Events Coordinator
  • Fundraising Strategist and Coordinator
  • Government Relations Coordinator
  • Developing support for the Condor Fund, membership, web presence/social media, newsletter preparation, and other Park and Foundation activities.
